DermaCosmedica’s IPL skin tightening system is safe for all skin types and can be performed on any part of the body where tightness is desired. Many people have IPL on their lunch breaks and return to work immediately following the procedure.

Eye goggles will be provided to protect your eyes from the infrared light. For those very sensitive to pain, a soothing gel will be placed on the treatment area to reduce discomfort.

While most patients report no side effects, some patients may experience:

  • Darkening of the skin, similar to a mild suntan or sunburn
  • Lightening of the skin
  • Pinching or stinging sensation during IPL treatment
  • Mild swelling, pinkness or redness of the skin
