Laser Skin Resurfacing Hamilton, NJ

Introducing the Cortex™ Laser Skin Resurfacing system. Dr. Joseph Guarino is pleased to offer this new anti-aging treatment to our Hamilton NJ medical spa.

How is Cortex Laser Skin Resurfacing Different

The Cortex is one of the most advanced aesthetic lasers on the market, offering an enormous amount of flexibility so that Dr. Guarino can precisely tailor your treatment.

Cortex combines CO2 and Erbium laser energy. The CO2 laser is used to treat areas with deep wrinkles, while the Erbium laser is used to treat fine lines, sun damage and other delicate areas.

After treatment, the upper layers of skin will peel away to reveal new, healthy skin with less sun damage and wrinkles.

What is Fractional Resurfacing?

Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing Hamilton NJInstead of affecting the entire surface of the skin, the fractional laser applies a grid like pattern to the treatment area. Micro laser spots are surrounded by untreated tissue, accelerating healing times and stimulating collagen production.

Fractional wound healing results in rapid replacement of the surface of the skin for textural improvement as well as collagen remodeling in the deeper dermis for wrinkle reduction.

How Does Laser Skin Resurfacing Work?

A full face laser skin resurfacing treatment takes about 30 minutes. Rapid bursts of laser energy are targeted to the treatment area. Some patients describe the sensation as a warm, sharp feeling with an immediate tightening of the skin.*

After treatment, your skin may appear as though it is sunburned and feel slightly sore. Depending on the depth of your treatment, downtime could last several days to a week.*

Dr. Guarino may recommend topical anesthetics and cooling devices to reduce discomfort during and after the treatment.
